2. Can Tennessee flip any commitments?
Tennessee football has a lot of targets who are committed elsewhere, but none of them have signed. And there’s reason to believe that one of them may flip to the Vols, which would be huge news for Jeremy Pruitt and co.

For bad news, four-star linebacker Owen Pappoe of Loganville, Ga. has reaffirmed his commitment to the Auburn Tigers. And three-star linebacker Ke’Shun Brown of Montgomery, Ala. just committed to the Texas A&M Aggies, so it’s not likely he’s going to flip. Four-star defensive end Bill Norton of Memphis hasn’t budged on his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs either.
But then there are four guys still in play. Four-star cornerback Kenyatta Watson of Loganville, Ga. is committed to the Texas Longhorns, but the Vols have never stopped targeting him. Meanwhile, three-star junior college wide receiver Javonta Payton of Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Miss. is committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, but all Vols sites have his scheduled signing period as one to watch.
Then there are two key ones. We start with Trezmen Marshall. The four-star athlete of Homerville, Ga. is committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. But a link on DawgNation states that he hinted at a possible flip to Jeremy Pruitt.
Then there’s Justin Eboigbe. The four-star strongside defensive end of Forest Park, Ga. is currently committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. But Barton Simmons of CBS Sports has him as one of the top trending guys who could flip, and he named the Vols as a key candidate alongside the Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes.
Simply put, there are lots of unexpected splashes Tennessee football could make over the Early Signing Period. And should any of them happen, they would be as exciting for the Vols as a splash offensive coordinator hire.
