4. Jauan Jennings announces return for senior season.

When it comes to personnel moves, a bigger deal than Tee Martin being hired was Jauan Jennings announcing his return to the Tennessee Vols for his senior season. With Jeremy Pruitt trying to rebuild the program, this was an absolute must.

More from All for Tennessee

The Vols need all the playmakers they can get, and wide receiver is a big advantage. Jennings joining Josh Palmer and Marquez Callaway to create that size mismatch can’t be understated. He’s also the best pure playmaker at receiver for this team.

In 2018, Jennings was third on the team with just 438 receiving yards but tied for the lead in touchdown receptions with three. And that was while he was coming back from a season-ending injury. We know about his production in 2016.

Jennings caught the go-ahead touchdown against the Florida Gators that year and the game-winning Hail Mary against the Georgia Bulldogs. This past year, even in as he was trying to get his rhythm back, he caught the go-ahead touchdown against the Auburn Tigers.

Simply put, the guy is a gamer. And he comes through in the biggest games as well. Now, with a full offseason and another season in which he’s not coming off an injury, he has a chance to be the huge playmaker we expected him to be after Josh Malone left. So watch out for what this guy can do because it’s about to be utter dominance. And his return for his fifth-year senior season is exactly what the Tennessee Vols needed.
