3. Jonathan Kongbo, Edge Rusher

Coming in at third in our ranking is defensive linemen/linebacker, Jonathan Kongbo. He was arguably one of the most athletic players on the defensive side of the ball for the Volunteers last season.

The odds of Kongbo sneaking in the later rounds isn’t likely but due to his quickness and athleticism, he could. What’s more likely is some team like the Atlanta Falcons or Carolina Panthers sign him as an undrafted free agent.

It shouldn’t go unnoticed the way Kongbo spoke to the media about the shortcomings of former head coach Butch Jones. Sure, that has nothing to do with his play on the field, but it will at least help his chances at landing a job.

Teams love when players don’t cause any problems in the locker room. Pair that with Kongbo’s athletic ability and he will surely have a chance to prove what it takes to play in the NFL.

Best case scenario is Kongbo lands on a team that is struggling defensively and shows out during camps. It wouldn’t be surprising for him to find a system that fits. Both Caleb Calhoun and I have the Atlanta Falcons as a landing spot for Kongbo. If he could learn the system, you could see him on the field sooner rather than later.
