2010 NFL Draft: Round 1 – Pick 5

Arguably one of the greatest players in Tennessee history, Eric Berry comes in at number three on our list. It’s hard to justify putting a top-5 pick on the list, but Berry is that special and has meant that much to the Kansas City Chiefs.

More from All for Tennessee

Since going fifth overall in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Berry has been spectacular, when he is healthy. Statically speaking, his rookie season was his best accounting for 92 tackles with four interceptions with one touchdown.

He’s had three additional seasons where he accounted for multiple interceptions; three in 2013, two in 2015, and four in 2016.

Looking back at the 2010 NFL Draft, only four players were taken ahead of Berry. Oklahoma quarterback, Sam Bradford went number one, Ndamukong Suh went number two, Gerald McCoy at three, and Trent Williams went number four to the Washington Redskins.

We would have moved Berry to the number one ranking, but injuries have stopped him from being as productive as he could have been. Nonetheless, he’s one of the best safeties in the league and is considered a steal in my book.
