Tennessee football: 10 Vols with injury concerns for 2019
This one’s pretty simple. Brandon Kennedy is projected to start for Tennessee football at center this year. And he missed the entire 2018 season after the Vols’ first game against the West Virginia Mountaineers due to an ACL injury.

Oh, and Kennedy was supposed to start in 2018 as well at the position. His injury forced Ryan Johnson to, which at least built depth there. But a starting center coming off a season ending injury is always going to be a top concern.
It’s also worth noting that Kennedy had not fully recovered during spring practice for the Vols in 2019. So he still could have nagging issues entering his redshirt senior season, and that’s something UT really doesn’t want to deal with on the offensive line.
Once a four-star commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide, Jeremy Pruitt pulled off a heist getting him to transfer to Rocky Top last year. He was supposed to be a huge boost for the Vols in the trenches. Without him, however, they took a major step back.
Kennedy’s return to health is supposed to be a major factor in the UT line taking a major step forward. So his injury questions bring a lot of worry to Rocky Top. They’ve got one year left to see what he can do, so him being healthy is a big deal.
