Tennessee football at Florida: Five Gators to watch for against Vols
It came down to David Reese and Jonathan Greenard for this spot, but Greenard is more of the overall playmaker. And he is the guy who could end up finding multiple ways to wreak havoc on Tennessee football if the Vols are not careful.

Similar to Kyree Campbell, Greenard is coming up big when he’s most needed. Remember, these guys barely played against the UT Martin Skyhawks. But against the Miami Hurricanes, Greenard had six tackles, two for a loss and one and a half sacks. Then, against the Kentucky Wildcats, he had six tackles, one and a half tackles for a loss and a sack.
So in two close games against Power Five schools, one on the road and one at a neutral site, Greenard has 12 tackles, three and a half tackles for a loss and two and a half sacks. His one tackle against UT Martin puts him at 13 on the year.
Simply put, he’s a dangerous linebacker who should wreak havoc on the Vols Saturday. Jeremy Pruitt and Jim Chaney have to stop designing these slow-developing passing plays for Jarrett Guarantano if they are going to win this game because if they don’t, Greenard will have a field day. It will get ugly fast, and Dan Mullen will be coasting to his second straight win over Pruitt.
Tennessee football has the talent to contain some of these guys. Nobody is a standout major weapon for the Florida Gators. But Mullen has a collection of great players making up his team, and they can all give the Vols major trouble. These are the top guys among those weapons, though. So Pruitt will have to be ready for them.
