Tennessee football vs. Georgia: Five Bulldogs to watch for against Vols
When you really break down the Georgia Bulldogs, you have a team that wins in the most boring way. They do all the right things by dominating you defensively, taking care of the ball, and then controlling the line of scrimmage. It’s what Jeremy Pruitt wants for Tennessee football.

The key to their offense dominating is their running game, and the key to their elite running game is D’Andre Swift. Picking up from where he left off last year, Swift has not missed a beat without Jim Chaney, and he’s the reason Kirby Smart wants to run the ball 30 times a game. He may just be the best running back in the SEC.
At 5’9″ 215 pounds, he has 49 carries for 388 yards on the year and three touchdowns, good for just under eight yards a carry and one and a half yards per carry better than his average last year. He also has six receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown, giving him about 116 yards per game from scrimmage.
Against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, he was another big-game playmaker with 18 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown, and three receptions for two yards got him to 100 total yards from scrimmage. So there’s no denying that he’s a superstar playmaker, and the Vols have to do everything they can to stop him.
Tennessee football has the linebackers to maybe contain Swift. But their defensive line is still developing, and if they sell out to stop him, then the Dawgs can screen them to death the way the Florida Gators did on just one drive. So Pruitt ha to figure out another way to consistently stop him, and that will be one of the biggest factors in this game.
