This one’s no surprise. Evina Westbrook set the Tennessee Lady Vols program on fire and then just walked out in the process at the end of last season in something that seemed like a completely snake move by her.

More from All for Tennessee

After she played poorly in a loss to the UCLA Bruins to open the NCAA Tournament, Westbrook basically threw Holly Warlick under the bus in her postgame interview. Phillip Fulmer and the UT administration listened and fired Warlick. All Westbrook did after that was transfer to the UConn Huskies, who are set to renew their rivalry with UT this year.

Now, it’s likely Warlick would have been fired anyway. But this was a horrible look. Anyway, Westbrook was the face of Warlick’s last No. 1 ranked recruiting class. And she was easily the best player on the team last year.

Westbrook led UT in scoring with an average of just under 15 points a game. She also led the team in assists with an average of just over five a game. And she led them in steals with over one and a half a game. Also, despite being the point guard, she actually averaged over three and a half rebounds a game.

Simply put, Westbrook did it all. With her gone, Kellie Harper will turn to Rennia Davis to likely lead the Tennessee Lady Vols this year. But Westbrook was so good that her production is going to be insanely hard to replace, despite the addition of five new players and the return of Lou Brown.
