Tennessee football at Kentucky: Five Wildcats to watch for against Vols
Of all the big-play guys on the Kentucky Wildcats’ defense this year, nobody stands out more than Calvin Taylor Jr. He is one of the scariest players for any team to handle, and that’s goes for Tennessee football as well.

For the year, Taylor has 24 tackles. He leads Kentucky with five sacks and is tied for the lead with six tackles for a loss. Meanwhile, he has three pass deflections, using his incredible height to his advantage, and two forced fumble. Those also lead the team.
Taylor has Joshua Paschal’s versatility but on a completely different level. At 6’9″ 310 pounds, he has lined up at defensive tackle, defensive end, and even on the offensive line. Oh, and he could play a bit of linebacker as well. But playing on both sides of the ball in general is incredibly impressive, and he’s able to do that.
Simply put, there is no real way to account for this guy. He has already matched his production from last year and has four more games to blow it out of the water. As a senior, he will make the most of those games.
Meanwhile, the Vols have had enough trouble with negative plays and trying to throw the ball. A guy who could rush the passer, knock down anything and create negative running plays is going to be a lot to deal with. UT may be in trouble with Harris.
