Jauan Jennings continued to represent Tennessee football well. The Volunteers legend caught a touchdown pass in the 2020 Senior Bowl.

He always came through in the biggest moments for Tennessee football. Given that fact, Jauan Jennings wasn’t about to pass up an opportunity to shine one more time in a Vols helmet, and he did just that in the 2020 Senior Bowl.

With the North beating the South 31-10 in the fourth quarter, Jennings caught and 18-yard touchdown pass fro Jalen Hurts, which is an odd combination considering Hurts’ years with the Alabama Crimson Tide, to cut the score to 31-17. The catch came after the South recovered a fumble to get good field position.

It’s always nice for Vol fans to see former players well-represented, and that applied in this game, which was played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Here is the video of Hurts throwing the touchdown pass to Jennings.

More from Vols Football

Jennings had three catches for 22 yards on the day, including that touchdown. He didn’t really see any action until the second half, which was probably a mistake by the South if anybody knows the type of playmaker he is.

Nonetheless, he still managed to make an impact. Unfortunately for the South, it was too little to late, as they lost the game 31-17 despite scoring the first touchdown on the day. They were doomed by allowing 21 points in the third quarter.

Darrell Taylor also represented the Vols in the Senior Bowl. As an edge rusher who thrives at playing outside linebacker, he was a bit out of place since the South stuck with a 4-3 scheme on the day. Taylor has plenty of experience at defensive end, but he proved the last two years that he’s better at outside linebacker.

Still, Taylor should have gotten more playing time. At least one Vol showed out in the Senior Bowl, though, and nobody is surprised by who that one Vol was. Jennings managed to catch one more touchdown in a UT helmet.
