While COVID-19 has everybody waiting for sports to return, Tennessee football is ready for the upcoming season. The Volunteers released a 2020 hype video.

At the moment, nobody knows when or if sports will return this year. News has fluctuated on a week to week basis due to coronavirus. However, Tennessee football is still going out of its way to provide signs of encouragement to Vols fans.

Coming off a strong finish to the 2019 season, Vol fans everywhere are extremely excited over what Jeremy Pruitt has in store for 2020. With so much talent coming back, even this shutdown hasn’t contained the giddiness of everybody. If anything, it’s built up the hype behind the upcoming season even more.

To strike while the iron is hot, VFL Films released a hype video surrounding the season that lasted just over a minuted. The video was released on Tennessee football’s Twitter account Tuesday evening. Take a look at it here.

The video seems very standard, opening with the question, “Why Tennessee?” It then shows a few highlights and has different unnamed players narrating why they chose the Vols. Meanwhile, the Knoxville skyline, the Tennessee River, the Vol Walk, the locker room, the press box, Smokey and running through the T were all shown in addition to a few highlights.

Although it was short, sweet and not very splashy, the music in the background of this one is more than enough to get everybody excited. Normally, the look ahead to football season starts in late August. However, with the cancelation of all winter and spring sports and baseball not underway yet, the countdown has begun much earlier.

Given that fact, Vol fans are much more excited than normal, and even a small hype video like this is enough to get everybody going. The prospects for Tennessee football’s 2020 season are extremely bright, and the music behind this video gets fans almost as excited to have coronavirus behind them as they are for the start of the season.
