Okay, let’s be fair. Nobody really wants to go to the New York Jets. But people have been overlooking Tennessee football prospects in recent years as well, and this franchise could be rebuilding right now. A couple of NFL Draft steals could help that.

More from All for Tennessee

Right now, Jamison Crowder is the top receiver for the New York Jets. At 5’9″, he is clearly not there for a size advantage. As a result, a go-to receiver is arguably the biggest need for the Jets in this year’s draft, beyond even a quarterback, and they actually need a couple of receivers who can produce and provide a size advantage.

Similar to some of the other teams on this list, that does mean that they could take a couple of more highly touted stars early on. However, Jennings will definitely get a look late, and as we have mentioned, he’ll have a chance to compete for that No. 1 spot to complement Crowder while also competing for a slot position where he can use his size as an advantage.

This is the first draft for general manager Joe Douglas, so he has to avoid taking some risks as he proves himself. However, he was a longtime scout with the Baltimore Ravens  and saw the value signing Anquan Boldin brought to them. As a result, he’s clearly not going to ignore receivers who don’t have a lot of speed in later rounds.

Adam Gase obviously brings a different perspective, but he is an offensive guru who specializes in wide receivers. As a result, he will give Jennings a fair look if the Tennessee football receiver falls to him in the NFL Draft. And that’s another major bonus.
