Tennessee football: Vols LB Daniel Bituli’s five best NFL Draft landing spots
If any place is going to give a fair look to defensive specialist, particularly at undersized linebackers, it will be the Baltimore Ravens. John Harbaugh has done a tremendous job believing in talent over the years, and although Eric DeCosta hasn’t proven himself to be Ozzie Newsome yet, he has worked in the Ravens organization since 1996, so he has seen it built up on defense.

Along with all that, the Ravens’ top need is at linebacker. The departure of CJ Mosley leaves a huge hole there, and that will be a top priority for them in the NFL Draft. Bituli won’t be taken as a top priority guy, but they will probably be giving multiple prospects legitimate looks, so the Tennessee football linebacker could fall to them in a later round.
At that point, he’ll have plenty of chances to earn the starting job. Remember, the Ravens run a 3-4 defense, and they have no real proven inside linebacker right now, so there will be plenty of chances for Bituli to show what he has if he heads to Baltimore. Ravens Defensive Coordinator Don Martindale will definitely give him a fair look.
Oh, in addition to running a 3-4 and having no proven inside linebacker, Bituli’s main position, the Ravens also do have a need for an edge rusher in this draft. Since Bituli can play that, there are legitimately five open slots for him as a rotational player, and that makes this franchise a great opportunity for him. It’s one of the best ones.
