Different players from Tennessee football could make a selling point from a tangible perspective to have the most potential in this year’s NFL Draft, and it would be hard to argue with them. None of them would match Jauan Jennings, however.

From an analytical point of view, Nigel Warrior is the top guy on this list. In terms of production, Daniel Bituli is the top guy. When you factor in health and physical abilities, Marquez Callaway is the top guy. Darrell Taylor fills the category of playing a position of need. Jennings, however, fills all those categories and then the intangibles one.

Yes, Jennings is the top guy. We can use facts, including his 969 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns, six of which resulted in lead changes on the year. His Hail Mary against the Georgia Bulldogs in 2016 and go-ahead touchdown against the Florida Gators the week before should count as well, as should the fact that he led the nation last year in yards after contact after catch.

But all of those are part of a set of intangibles we all see in Jennings. He’s a very vocal leader, a very aggressive guy who never quits and a guy who always rises to the occasion in the biggest moments. Those things plus his size and physicality make him a great option at receiver.
