51. . . . Los Angeles Rams. 2. team

Despite potentially switching in this offseason, this Los Angeles Rams are sticking with the 3-4 defense and will be looking to get back to the Super Bowl this year. Part of that is massively upgrading in the NFL Draft, and to do that, they have to improve aspects of their defense, even if Jared Goff and the offensive weapons have been the biggest offseason story.

With guys like Aaron Donald in the middle, Darrell Taylor would have a great opportunity to succeed with the Rams. Now, he will have more pressure, but he’ll have a supporting cast that allows him to thrive as a playmaker, so if he is shooting for major recognition and not just finding a spot, this could be a great place for him.

New defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, while keeping the 3-4, is likely to run more multiple sets, giving Taylor a variety of chances to find a role. Staley’s whole career has been coaching outside linebackers as well, and he once was with Tennessee football in 2012 as a graduate assistant. So he is familiar with Taylor’s most recent defensive coordinator, Derrick Ansley.

Los Angeles is a place for Taylor if he is betting on himself. Given his recent rising draft stock, he may have reason to do just that, especially given his injury status over the past year. Because of that, the Rams are super high on this list. He could thrive immediately and will definitely get a fair shake if he goes there. So yes, they belong at No. 2 here.
