44. . . . Atlanta Falcons. 1. team

No team’s top need is a safety. But the Atlanta Falcons are the only team whose top need is a defensive back that doesn’t necessarily have to be a cornerback in this year’s NFL Draft. As a result, Nigel Warrior could thrive there.

More from All for Tennessee

Despite the fact that he played safety most of the time with Tennessee football, Warrior could also play a bit of nickel. In fact, he could play a lot of nickel. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn built the Legion of Boom valuing players who could play their role well, but he needed one versatile guy in the secondary, and Warrior fits that mold as a versatile secondary player.

Another thing Quinn always valued was having a defensive back who could stop the run. Remember how physical the Seattle Seahawks were under him? Well, Warrior is physical like that as well, given the fact that Jeremy Pruitt used him on lots of different packages this past year. Oh, and Keanu Neal’s contract up after this year, while Ricardo Allen’s is up after next year.

Finally, Warrior would be going home if he played in Atlanta since he’s from Suwanee, Ga. Given that area, Quinn was probably very familiar with him when he was being recruited in 2015, and he probably knows Warrior’s father, Dale Carter. As a result, the guy would be certain to get a look if he went there, and many of the fans would be calling for it.

Taking that into account, Warrior could definitely use going to Atlanta.  The Tennessee football safety would have plenty of chances to work his way up the roster there, even if they don’t select him in the NFL Draft. This is easily the best landing spot for him.
