Another elite defender from Florida has his eye on Tennessee football. The Volunteers made the top 10 for linebacker Dink Jackson of Melbourne, Fla.

They secured three commitments from the state of Florida during that red-hot two-week recruiting run, and two of them were former Florida Gators defensive commitments. But it looks like Tennessee football is not done attempting to raid former Gator commitments from the Sunshine State.

Rocky Top made the cut linebacker Dink Jackson. A four-star on Rivals out of Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Fla., Jackson put the Vols in his top 10 Tuesday. He is the No. 20 ranked player at his position and No. 43 ranked player across the state and was committed to Florida from February through May in 2019.

In addition to Tennessee football, Jackson had the Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, Auburn Tigers, USC Trojans, South Carolina Gamecocks, Ole Miss Rebels, Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals and West Virginia Mountaineers in his top 10. He announced his list on Twitter.

Jackson would be the second four-star linebacker commitment from the state, as Terrence Lewis, one of the other former Florida commitments, is also from there. Securing him would be a huge coup for Jeremy Pruitt and co.

At 6ā€™0ā€³ 185 pounds, Jackson would obviously have to put on some size to play at the next level. While he is listed as an outside linebacker on Rivals, 247Sports has him as an athlete, so he could actually end up playing somewhere else.

If he stayed outside linebacker, Jackson would almost fully reload UT at that position. Of course, Pruitt likes linebackers to be able to play all four spots, but after three commitments there last year and two at the position for this year, heā€™s almost built up the depth he needs. Jackson would help complete that.

Currently, the Florida State Seminoles are a unanimous, heavy favorite to land Jackson on the Rivals Future Cast and the 247Sports Crystal Ball. They are a majority favorite to land him on the Rivals Fan Future Cast.

However, Tennessee footballā€™s recent success with former four-star Gator commitments from Florida could make them a wildcard. Watch for them to see what happens on that front, as there is likely plenty of time to make a push for Jackson.
