Jeremy Pruitt picked up a North Carolina recruit for the Tennessee football Volunteers.

Will his dominance ever stop? Jeremy Pruitt worked his magic again in North Carolina, and he secured an elite commitment for Tennessee football, the second for the Vols from that state in a little over two weeks.

Athlete Kaemen Marley committed to Rocky Top Wednesday night. A four-star on Rivals, Marley could play wide receiver or in the secondary for the Vols. Where he ends up is very uncertain at this point, though.

As the No. 2 ranked athlete nationally and No. 5 ranked player in his home state, Marley comes out of Eastern Randolph High School in Ramseur, N.C. He announced his commitment to Tennessee football with a video on Twitter.

At 6’3″ 215 pounds, Marley certainly has the body to play wide receiver. If he did play defensive back, he would have rare size for the position, but Pruitt does have a history of going for size above all else in his 3-4 defensive scheme.

Marley is the second athlete in the class, joining three-star Elijah Howard. There are currently three wide receivers, including two players with at least a four-star rating across all services, and five defensive backs, including one player with at least a four-star across all services, committed for UT’s 2021 class.

This past year, Marley had 26 total touchdowns with 814 receiving yards and 396 rushing yards. According to Ryan Callahan of GoVols247, he said he doesn’t know which side he will play but is willing to play both if he can. Here is a look at his highlight reel.

As you can see, Marley has great breakaway speed and can close fast. He is also physical. That means he can break tackles while also tackling hard and cover lots of ground in the secondary while also outrunning defenses. Combining that with his size makes him a perfect athlete to play in the SEC.

With Marley’s commitment, the Vols’ No. 2 ranked class has nine players who have at least a four-star rating across all services and 23 commitments overall. They have picked up eight four-stars and 13 commitments just within the past month, and Marley is their second commitment this week. Simply put, the Vols are on a roll.
