Alabama 2021 DE/TE Trinity Bell commits to Tennessee football
Albertville, Ala. recruit Trinity Bell committed to the Tennessee football Volunteers.
Jeremy Pruitt’s hot recruiting streak in general and in the state of Alabama for Tennessee football continues. The Vols picked up their third commitment within the week and their 14th commitment within the last month.
Trinity Bell, who is listed as a strongside defensive end on Rivals and a tight end on 247Sports, committed to the Vols on Friday. A three-star across all major services, Bell comes out of Albertville High School in Albertville, Ala.
With his decision, Tennessee football now has 24 pickups for its 2021 class and six alone from the state of Alabama, more than any other state. The Vols also may not be done. Bell announced his commitment to Rocky Top with a video on Twitter.

Listed as a strongside defensive end, Bell could be the Vols’ second player in this class to fill that one defensive end spot on the line, joining Darrell Jackson. Add in Tyler Baron and Reginald Perry from last year, and Pruitt clearly has that position set for the future even with Matthew Butler, Ja’Quain Blakely and LaTrell Bumphus all being seniors this year.
Should he move to tight end, Bell would be the Vols’ second commitment at that position of the week, following Miles Campbell. Pruitt is already loaded there as well with Campbell and Roc Taylor committed for 2021. Add in Freshmen Sean Brown and Jackson Lowe along with sophomore Jacob Warren, and UT will be set if Bell moves there.
At 6’7″ 250 pounds, Bell certainly has the size for a defensive end more than a tight end, but he is uniquely big for either position. As a result, he is a perfect fit for Jeremy Pruitt, who loves guys like that in the physical spots. Here is a look at his highlight reel.
As you can see, Bell’s versatility extends from being able to play wideout to being able to play in the middle on the defensive line. He’s very physical, and he’s actually faster than he showed on film, as he clocked in a 4.7 40-yard dash last year, according to Shannon J. Allen of The Sand Mountain Reporter, Albertville’s local newspaper.
Simply put, Tennessee football appears to be getting a very versatile athlete who brings height, strength and speed. Putting all those things together, Pruitt will probably have no trouble finding a place for him.
