Tennessee football: Top five NFL teams with Vols productivity for 2020
Marquez Callaway, Alvin Kamara, Shy Tuttle
Although Alvin Kamara is trying to renegotiate his contract with the New Orleans Saints, which could lead to some hostility, the franchise still tops the list of Tennessee football productivity. It’s increased such productivity each of the last two years.

Kamara is a three-time Pro Bowl all-purpose back. He’s the star, and he stands out on his own. After all, his arrival revitalized New Orleans’ offense and Drew Brees’ career, which is why Sean Payton and co. have been able to get back to the playoffs each time. Assuming they work out a deal, he’ll be a starter again this year.
After Kamara, though, Shy Tuttle emerged last year as an undrafted free agent at defensive tackle. Now, he’s still listed as a backup, but unlike the Pittsburgh Steelers, there’s a much greater likelihood of Tuttle getting into the starting rotation this year. Fully healthy, he has proven himself time and time again.
Then there is another undrafted free agent they signed, rookie Marquez Callaway. An elite No. 2 wideout and special teams weapon as a punt returner, Callaway will be a backup receiver, but he’ll get his touches with the way Brees spreads the ball around. He also could field some punts this year, increasing his projected productivity.
Simply put, the Saints have a Pro Bowler, a potential starter and a rotational guy who will see action all from Tennessee football. Back in 2009, they won the Super Bowl with Robert Meachem and Jabari Greer on the team. Could they do it again with lots of former Vols this year?
