839. Scouting Report. Sophomore. 2. player. Henry To'o to'o. Pick Analysis. Linebacker

6’2″ 225 pounds; Hometown: Sacramento, Calif.

Learning as an inside linebacker alongside Daniel Bituli last year allowed Henry To’o To’o time to develop into a leader as the season progressed. Now, with Bituli gone, the Tennessee football defensive squad turns to the former Freshman All-American for guidance.

More from Vols Football

By now, you’ve probably seen To’o To’o’s pick-six from last week in Columbia, S.C., but it’s important to acknowledge and appreciate how his versatility really does take him from sideline to sideline. This week, that versatility will be tested once again.

Missouri Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz, who’s also serving this season as the Tigers’ Offensive Coordinator, distributed the ball fairly evenly in his debut last week against Alabama. The Tigers threw for 253 yards on 39 passes and ran for 69 yards on 34 attempts.

With the exception of less overall success, those numbers are very comparable to what the Gamecocks ran against the Vols defense in Week 1: 290 passing yards on 39 throws and 89 yards on 35 carries. Despite their week 1 loss, Mizzou still managed to put up a fairly respectable 19 points against the Crimson Tide defense.

Drinkwitz is still looking for his first win as head coach, and it’s not crazy to believe he’s had his eye on this game.  Preventing the Tigers’ offense from gaining or building upon any momentum is the key to ensuring a UT victory.

To’o To’o will look to improve upon his incredible week one performance.  He’s one of, if not the, most important player on Tennessee’s defense, and he’s one of our players to watch this week.  If he plays like he normally does it’ll be hard to miss him.
