Wanya Morris. 1. player. 839. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive Lineman. Sophomore

0 sacks allowed, lead blocker for over 230 rushing yards

Which offensive lineman could we name? The entire reason Tennessee football was dominating on the ground was the offensive line, and the return of Cade Mays was a huge boost. UT was unstoppable with four rushing touchdowns and over 230 yards.

More from All for Tennessee

Trey Smith, Brandon Kennedy and Wanya Morris all played perfect games. Cade Mays had a mistake with a false start, Darnel Wright had a mistake with a holding, and Jerome Carvin got beat on a play that resulted in the only sack of the game on Jarrett Guarantano. Morris was the most standout performer, though.

There’s a reason Guarantano was only sacked once, and it wasn’t even on Morris’ side. Morris also was the open-field blocker on Gray’s touchdown run and numerous other long runs throughout the day. He was consistently the guy clearing the way.

All three linemen could have made the list, but overall, Morris was the best of the bunch. He has clearly arrived at left tackle, and at this point, he’s starting to look like a guy with All-American potential. You obviously can’t measure stats alone when it comes to individual offensive linemen, but Morris proved enough to deserve this spot on the list.

Going forward, Tennessee football is looking like it may have the best offensive line in the SEC. Saturday’s game was all about the elite play of that unit, and Morris is turning into a superstar along with Smith. If that continues, the Vols could be dangerous.
