1. This is the ultimate trap game for Georgia.

How can the Georgia Bulldogs get up for this game? They have beaten Tennessee football three years in a row, have nothing to gain by winning as double-digit favorites and have a lot to lose. It’s the worst situation for them to be in.

Georgia is entering this game after a huge blowout win over the Auburn Tigers in what should have been a close game. They have to manage not being overconfident from that win and also be able to refocus, not having a hangover from such a huge win over a top 10 team. That’s difficult enough when you’re getting set to face a top 15 team.

Making it harder, though, the Dawgs have to face the Alabama Crimson Tide next week. Obviously, that game is going to be weighing heavily on their minds, as Alabama cost them a national title two years in a row.

Now, on paper, Kirby Smart should have his team more focused on Rocky Top than either Alabama or Auburn. After all, this is an SEC East game, and both other teams are SEC West foes. With the Florida Gators in contention and the Vols trying to prove they belong, losing this game could be more devastating than losing both the other games.

Smart will have a tough time getting his players to understand that, though. Tennessee football, meanwhile, just blew out the Missouri Tigers and will face the Kentucky Wildcats next week. Jeremy Pruitt’s team is solely focused on this game, and that gives the Vols the advantage.
