Pick Analysis. player. 2. 833. Scouting Report. Defensive end. Redshirt junior. Joshua Paschal

6’3″ 278 pounds; Hometown: Prince George’s County, Md.

Of all the playmakers in the Kentucky Wildcats’ front seven, few have had the impact Josh Paschal has had through three games so far. Another preseason third-team All-SEC player, Paschal banged his knee up last week against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. However, he managed to practice this week, and it appears to me nothing serious.

Simply put, the guy will be ready to go against Tennessee football. Despite his injury, he should be able to be incredibly effective too. For the year, Paschal has 12 tackles, six of which were solo, and two tackles for a loss already. He also had an interception that he returned 76 yards against  Mississippi State, showing his versatility and how elite he can be as a playmaker.

Paschal had one and a half of his two tackles for losses against the Auburn Tigers. He had seven of his 12 tackles and four of his six solo tackles against the Ole Miss Rebels. Combine those with his pick against MSU, and he has clearly spread out his production as well, which is why he is so high on this list.

When you look at how Jarrett Guarantano struggled with the pass rush in the second half of last week’s game, you can see why Paschal could be dangerous on Saturday. The guy forced two fumbles last year. Simply put, a UT offensive line that had some issues at tackle last week will have a lot of work to do to contain this guy.
