Tennessee football: Five Arkansas Razorbacks to watch for against Vols
5’11” 222 pounds; Greenwood, Ark.
Beyond the secondary, the front seven is the biggest reason the Arkansas Razorbacks have gotten so many interceptions. When they are at their best, they are great at getting pressure. The one guy doing it all for them, though, is fifth-year senior linebacker Grant Morgan, the heart and soul of the defense and maybe the best player on the team in general.

Remember that PFF College reference we used to tout Hudson Clark’s abilities in coverage? Well, in the tweet that revealed those grades last week, you’ll see why we said Clark just had the best grade of any defensive back in coverage. Morgan had the best grade of anybody period in coverage, and he’s a linebacker. That alone should show you his value.
However, as a playmaker, Morgan stands out more. He also has a pick-six this season, against the Ole Miss Rebels, along with four pass deflections. This is a linebacker we’re talking about, though, so he also stands out in other ways, leading the team in tackles with 58 and tackles for a loss with five. He also has a sack on the year. Simply put, Clark is a star.
A big reason for Tennessee football’s struggles has been Jarrett Guarantano rushing to make decisions under pressure. The other part is also guys in coverage making elite plays. Well, Morgan can do both of those things. As a result, he’s the biggest defensive threat for the Vols.
