Multiple defensive backs could have made the list. Kaiir Elam has been a more consistent threat over the years and knows how to be aggressive all over the field, but this year, free safety Shawn Davis is the star for the Florida Gators likely to give Tennessee football the most trouble.

For the year, Davis has two interceptions. He also has a forced fumble and a pass deflection, though, and he has two tackles for a loss. Add in his 39 tackles, 24 of which were solo, and he’s the guy who will be all over the field in the secondary. Elam has two picks too and nine pass deflections along with a tackle for a loss, but Elam is used in more places.
Given the fact that UT quarterbacks have turned the ball over eight times since the second half of their game against the Georgia Bulldogs, with seven of those turnovers coming from Jarrett Guarantano, Davis is a concern. To make it more concerning, Five of those turnovers have been interceptions, four of which came from Guarantano and three of which were pick-sixes.
Florida doesn’t have a pick-six yet, but they have a defensive touchdown, and Guarantano is prone to allow those, so this could get ugly with what Davis is capable of doing. He’s the one in-state guy for Florida on this list who could be a threat.
