Tennessee football: Top five Vols performers in 31-19 loss to Florida
8 tackles (6 solo); 2.5 TFLs
There are still issues with how he plays in the passing game, but Henry To’o To’o returned to what we had been expecting from him all year against the Florida Gators. He was Tennessee football’s one consistent playmaker on the day.

To’o To’o’s eight tackles tied him with Warren Burrell as the team leader on that front, and his six solo tackles were one behind Burrell. Given the fact that Burrell plays defensive back, it looked much better when To’o To’o was coming away with those tackles. Adding two and a half tackles for a loss was even more impresive.
For the day, To’o To’o was not as disastrous in pass coverage as the secondary. There were very few times that he was the guy you could find out of position, and he anchored a unit that held Florida to 19 yards rushing on 17 carries. You have to give the guy credit as a run-stopper, especially with the inconsistent play of the defensive line Saturday.
Now, it’s true that To’o To’o’s style of play made him a good matchup for Florida’s defense. Still, he did his part for Tennessee football, and like Alontae Taylor, he was a huge reason for the Gators going on scoring droughts at times.
