Tennessee football: Five Aggies to watch for against Vols
6’3″ 217 pounds; Hometown: San Antonio, Texas

Despite expectations of being a gunslinger and major stat compiler, efficiency has been the name of the game for him this year. He has completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 1,769 yards and 18 touchdowns with only two interceptions while averaging nearly seven and a half yards an attempt. Meanwhile, he has 51 carries for 199 yards, nearly four yards a carry, and two touchdowns.
Considering the fact that he has only been sacked four times, he’s been great at avoiding pressure and getting rid of the ball as well. Mond has been the perfect dual-threat quarterback to properly manage Jimbo Fisher’s system and give the ball to his top weapons.
UT’s issues with its pass rush and its secondary should allow for Mond to have a field day. Mond is much better outside of the pocket than he is inside the pocket, so the Vols have to find a way to contain him first. If they can do that, they may have a chance to slow him down, but all indications are that he’ll return to his big-numbers performances of the past on Saturday.
All the pressure is on Tennessee football to try to to slow Mond down. The Vols aren’t a sure bet to win if they are able to do that, given how efficient he still will likely be, but they have no chance if they play like they have been playing throughout the year.
