Player ratings

More from All for Tennessee

Unanimous four-stars: 7

Players with a Four-star rating on at least one service: 11

  • Four-star on multiple services: 2
  • Four-star on just one service: 2

Unanimous three-stars: 10

As you can see, there are four Tennessee football signees who don’t have a unanimous rating on here. Running back Tiyon Evans and wide receiver Julian Nixon are four-stars on both 247Sport and ESPN but three-stars on Rivals. Offensive lineman William Griffin-Parker and defensive back De’Shawn Rucker are four-stars on ESPN but three-stars on both 247Sports and Rivals.

Simply put, if a commitment to the Vols in 2021 is a four-star on Rivals, he is a four-star across all services, and there are seven of those. If he is a four-star on 247Sports, he will be a four-star on ESPN. There are nine of those. Then there are two who are just four-stars on ESPN. Everybody else is a three-star across the board.

No official signees have a rating below a three-star. Given everything that has happened in the past month and a half, Tennessee football is lucky to have anybody in its class. Josh Heupel has a good baseline, as we keep saying, and a top 20 ranking across the board that is in the top half of the SEC is a big deal. Those four-stars are to thank for that.
