Tennessee basketball vs. South Carolina: Live stream, game time, TV and radio info
Coming off a 78-65 loss at the LSU Tigers last Saturday, Tennessee basketball returns home Wednesday for another rescheduled matchup. The Vols will host the South Carolina Gamecocks in Knoxville, Tenn. at Thompson-Boling Arena Wednesday.
Ranked No. 19 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the Coaches Poll, Rick Barnes’ team was hit with a minor COVID issue, which forced this game to be postponed from its initial Tuesday scheduling. However, that issue has been rectified, and the two teams are set to go.
Frank Martin’s USC team heads to Rocky Top on a three-game losing streak, all at home. They most recently fell to the Ole Miss Rebels, and they lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide and Mississippi State Bulldogs before that. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee basketball’s matchup.

In its ninth year under Martin, South Carolina is still struggling to get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since making the Final Four in 2017. Last year’s 18-13 team had a shot before the pandemic hit. This year, however, the loss of three starters has been difficult to offset, which is why this team is struggling.
However, these guys only lost 85-80 at LSU back in January, playing them much tougher than the Vols did. Also, their last win was against the Florida Gators, a team that beat UT by 26 points. Simply put, they are still dangerous, and given the level of inconsistency the Vols play with, they could definitely get upset if they aren’t careful.
Yves Pons getting healthy and John Fulkerson restoring his elite offensive production could help. Last year, Fulkerson had 25 points in a 63-61 loss to USC at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C., a crucial game with March Madness implications at the time. Could this be the team that sparks his return to form now? We’ll find out.
Up next for Tennessee basketball after this game will be a rematch with the Kentucky Wildcats at home on Saturday. South Carolina, meanwhile, will continue its rough stretch by having to host the Missouri Tigers that same day.
