1. Addison Nichols

OL; Norcross, Ga.

Yes, we’re back to offensive linemen. In fact, we’re back to offensive linemen from Georgia. Tennessee football needs to upgrade at that position as much as possible, and adding another elite prospect would obviously do just that.

More from All for Tennessee

Coming out of Greater Atlanta Christian School in Gwinnett County, Addison Nichols is a four-star across the board who is listed as a tackle. He stands at 6’5″ and weighs somewhere between 300 and 305 pounds. Add in the fact that being from North Georgia gives the Vols a direct pipeline into his region, and they should target him as much as possible.

Like almost everybody else on this list, there are no official favorites to land Nichols. However, he is the only player we named where the Vols are a favorite on one list. The Rivals Fan Future Cast has UT as a majority favorite to land him.

That may be unscientific, but it has to count for something. Meanwhile, on 247Sports, the only schools that are listed as warm to land him are the Vols and Ohio State Buckeye. As a result, it’s safe to say Rocky Top is very much in play. How much ground this coaching staff can make up will determine how far they get with Nichols.

Before the firing of Jeremy Pruitt, Nichols was being pursue by Brian Niedermeyer and Will Friend. You have to think Heupel and his staff won’t let up. Tennessee football could desperately use Nichols, and him truly being in play puts him atop this list.
