Tennessee football: Five best NFL landing spots for Josh Palmer
2.) Tennessee Titans
Anybody who has watched the Titans play the past two years knows their game relies heavily on the deep ball. Ryan Tannehill was third in the league last year in passes of over 40 yards. With the loss of Corey Davis and Adam Humphries, who joined the New York Jets and Washington Football Team respectively this offseason, Tennessee is looking for another deep threat to join A.J. Brown. Again, being a deep threat is where Josh Palmer thrives, so it wouldn’t be so bad for him to move right up the road from his Tennessee football days to continue his career.
Losing Humphries will make the Titans look more in the slot first given that Brown is still on the roster, but that’s fine for Palmer, as he’ll be a late-rounder anyway. Also, Palmer proved he could play in the slot while being a deep threat in 2019, which could make him a perfect fit in Nashville.
There’s a chance Mike Vrabel and Jon Robinson are already keeping an eye on Palmer. With two sixth-round draft picks, a period in which Palmer may still be available, they could focus on speed and star power earlier as they look for a receiver and more for hands and control later. Palmer would definitely bring them hands and control.
