Mel Kiper of ESPN has him as the No. 110 overall prospect, better than any former Vol on this list. Kiper also has him as the No. 22 ranked receiver overall. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com also has him as the highest ranked former Vol at No. 113 in his top 150. Todd McShay of ESPN, meanwhile, has him second among former Vols at No. 183 with a grade of 55.
While his rankings suggest one thing, his draft positions suggest another. In the CBS Sports mock draft of all 32 teams, Chris Trapasso has him going to the Buffalo Bills in the third round with the 93rd overall pick. On the other hand, Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News has him going to the New England Patriots in the seventh round with the 242nd overall pick.
Taking all this into account, Palmer could be the top prospect on here, but it’s a mixed bag, and he’s not on every list. As a result, we’ve got him in the second best position going into the draft, but he could have a better weekend.
