Scouting Report. Defensive back. Senior. Trevon Flowers. Pick Analysis. 2. player. 839

5’11” 200 pounds; Hometown: Atlanta, Ga.

Before the season became a loss last year and Tennessee football turned to tons of young prospects on both sides of the ball, Trevon Flowers was actually the highest graded player on the team by PFF. That’s one stat that may surprise people.

More from Vols Football

Starting at free safety, Flowers’ experience playing center field at Tucker High School in DeKalb County has been paying off for three years, and that showed in a big way last year. Even more impressive is the fact that Flowers was coming off a season-ending broken leg injury he suffered on an interception in the sixth game of 2019 against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Before that injury, Flowers’ experience was already showing in a big way, albeit slowly. Anyway, in his return season, he had two tackles for a loss, three pass deflections, a forced fumble and 62 total tackles, 36 of which were solo. Those are really impressive numbers for a guy who was out for so long and dealing with a major injury.

With a full offseason to develop and now fully healthy, the athlete from Georgia is likely to emerge into an even more elite NFL Draft prospect. PFF already being high on him is a huge case in his favor, but his own likely improvements are going to work wonders for him.
