Prairie View A&M Panthers (7-2, 6-1) at Texas A&M Aggies (7-3, 4-3)

Saturday, Nov. 20 at Noon ET; College Station, Texas; ESPN+/SEC Network+

Now we’re talking when it comes to FCS games that can be dangerous. Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies suffered a shocking loss to the Ole Miss Rebels last week. They looked worse than even Tennessee football did against Ole Miss, and it totally wrecked the notion that A&M starts playing like a national title caliber team when September ends.

Losing that game all but cost them the SEC West, and now they have to somehow regroup for a strong finish with no hope of achieving any of the goals they had at the beginning of the year. At least they get an FCS game at Kyle Field to start off with, right?

Well, the Prairie View A&M Panthers are first in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division. They did lose last week to the Alcorn State Braves, but a win over the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils next week clinches the West and a shot at the SWAC Championship.

Prediction

Prairie View has a lot to play for under fourth-year head coach Ecic Dooley, but the momentum behind this game is not the same as it would have been had they beaten Alcorn State last week. With the need to beat Mississippi Valley State next week, this won’t be one of those games where the FCS team provides the scare. Texas A&M wins easily.
