3. Jeffrey M’ba (Junior College: Independence, Kan.)

Defensive lineman; Fougere, France

Sticking with junior college players, Jeffrey M’ba comes out of Independence Community College in Kansas. A French star, M’ba included the Vols in his top 10 back in November. Once again, however, they appear to be locked in a fight with Auburn to try to land him, and once again, it appears to be an uphill climb for the Vols.

However, the predictions for M’ba are a lot more limited. There’s just one 247Sports Crystal Ball, and although it has him going to Auburn while Auburn is also the unanimous favorite on the Rivals Future Cast, his situation is much more fluid. After all, the Missouri Tigers are the favorite by a plurality on the Rivals Fan Future Cast.

A four-star across the board, M’Ba went to school in Connecticut upon initially leaving France before going to junior college. He is listed as a defensive tackle who stands at 6’6″ and weighs in the range of 305 to 315 pounds.

Landing him would be a huge get for the Vols, and they have been in search of immediate help at defensive tackle. Given the recent departures there, M’ba may have playing time as a selling point for him. He’s more likely to commit this week than Keionte Scott, but nothing’s certain.
