You know what, it's about time some good news came in for the Tennessee football team and head man Josh Heupel. This time around, it's 4-star wide receiver Tyreek King who has delivered things for Vols fans out there to enjoy.

For a little while now, there has been plenty of speculation that potentially the in-state prospect might take a serious look at other schools before the Early Signing Period got here. Recent offers from Texas and Oklahoma State sure opened up some eyes.

However, there's nothing to worry about for Tennessee supporters out there. Via an interview with On3's Hayes Fawcett, King let everyone know that there will be no flip on the way. Nope, the speedster is 100 percent set on suiting up for Heupel and Co. at the next level:

That's what we love to see. With King being a playmaker for Knoxville Catholic, Tennessee wasn't just at risk of having him leave the state - he's about a 20 minute drive from Neyland Stadium. Losing his pledge would have been a disaster, but again, this is nothing for everyone to worry about.

King is ranked four stars, the No. 11 WR in the country and the No. 88 player nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. When the Vols first landed his pledge, UT fans were pretty dang fired up about things and those same emotions are back thanks to Monday's update.

King will get ready to play out his senior campaign and then prep for his college days so close to home. The great news for him too is that 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon remains locked in with Tennessee as well, with those two playmakers being the headliners for the 2026 class. King has a bright future ahead of him and the exact same thing can be said for Brandon. People all over town can't wait for those two to start making plays while donning a UT jersey together.
