It looks like teams are lining up for Arizona interior offensive lineman Wendell Moe Jr. The 340-pound guard has already heard from multiple schools and he's moving quickly in setting up his official visits before ultimately making a decision.
According to 247Sports' Greg Biggins, Moe is currently on his OV to meet with the Auburn Tigers. However, as soon as things get done there, the touted lineman is going to hop on a plane and head toKnoxville to meet with Josh Heupel and the rest of the Tennessee football staff. Will this end up being a battle between Tennessee and Auburn for his services?
340-pound OG Wendell Moe Jr. will visit Tennessee on Saturday
Moe, a redshirt sophomore this past season, was easily one of the best offensive linemen for the Wildcats this past campaign. According to Pro Football Focus, he earned an 87.0 pass-blocking grade for his work in the trenches in 2024.
The Tennessee target started 11 games for U of A in '24 - he posted 27 starts across his three seasons in Tucson. It should be no surprise that multiple programs are hoping to land his services, but early on, it feels like Tennessee and Auburn are the two schools standing out.
There's plenty of time for the big-bodied hoss to make his decision, however, as the portal is open until Dec. 28. Auburn and Hugh Freeze are looking to turn his head while he's in town, but then it will be Heupel's turn to sell Moe on why he'd be a good fit for the Vols.
The easy advantage for UT here is that they're College Football Playoff-bound, while Auburn fans were calling for Freeze to be fired throughout the season. The future is looking bright for Tennessee and Moe would be able to make an impact for one of the top teams in the country. What else could he ask for?
