While the Tennessee Vols are working overtime to prepare for the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first round of the College Football Playoff, recruiting never sleeps for head man Josh Heupel. Yes, Tennessee will be busy practicing, but some official visitors are on their way to campus.

The list includes former Texas A&M offensive lineman TJ Shanahan, who recently entered the transfer portal. According to On3's Pete Nakos, Shanahan is going to be taking his official to Knoxville this weekend. With Shanahan being a stud guard, this could prove to be a big visit for Tennessee in hopes of potentially landing him.

Shanahan is quite the specimen, as he checks in at 6-4, 330 pounds. He's a guard who could immediately step in and play for Tennessee up front. This past season for Texas A&M, the second-year freshman appeared in six games for his now former team.

Coming out of high school, Shanahan was also a touted prospect. According to the 247Sports Composite, Shanahan was ranked four stars and the No. 8 interior lineman in the country for his class. He was also the No. 32 player from Texas.

He originally signed with Texas A&M over offers from LSU, Georgia, Alabama and others. Now that he's looking for a new place to call home, Heupel and his staff aren't wasting time in trying to sell him on all the good things Tennessee has going on.

The list includes making the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. The Vols are hyped to try to post an upset over Ohio State in Columbus on Dec. 21. Shanahan might end up making a decision before kickoff for that game and things are looking strong for Tennessee. It all could come down to how things go during his official visit.
