It goes without saying, but one of the top prospects still on the board for the Tennessee football team is 5-star running back Savion Hiter. Come this weekend, the speedster is going to make his way to Knoxville for his highly-anticipated Vols official visit.
Last weekend, however, he was in Ann Arbor for his second-to-last OV of the spring. Michigan pulled out all of the stops to impress him, which included using 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood as a major selling point. The two could have a bright future together, which is something Josh Heupel and Co. of course don't want to see come 2026:

Tennessee football will host 5-star RB Savion Hiter on a visit this weekend
Underwood was the No. 1 ranked overall prospect for the 2025 class and he's got people believing that he'll have Michigan in the natty hunt before everyone knows it. Obviously, Underwood pitching in with the recruiting efforts is massive for the Wolverines.
Now, though, Heupel is going to have to do his best to match things later this week. The Vols have been showing Hiter a ton of interest for quite some time now - there's a good reason UT is a finalist to potentially land his services.
In a dream world, as we've said before, Hiter will commit to Tennessee to join 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon in Knoxville come '26. Keep in mind too that Tristen Keys, the No. 1 WR in the nation, is fresh off his Tennessee official visit and he had a great time while on campus.
The Vols are putting together an unforgettable class and having Brandon on board is a key start. Pulling things off to add Hiter and Keys would be unreal and something Vols fans would celebrate for quite some time. Michigan is working its magic here, though, which is not good. A decision from Hiter is expected sooner rather than later, which adds pressure on the Vols to knock things out of the park once Friday gets here.
