You just hate to see this. With the Carolina Panthers hard at work at training camp in preparation for the start of the season, former Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell has been hard at work himself trying to make a name for himself. Now, though, there's serious worry that the speedster may have suffered an injury that could keep him off the field for a little while.

During a practice session, Brazzell was going through a 7-on-7 drill, but then something went wrong and he was spotted grabbing his knee. Per local beat reporters, Brazzell wasn't able to put any pressure on his left leg, which obviously is a huge concern. The decision was made for a cart to be brought out to take him back to the locker room, which only adds to the worry here:

As of this writing, no new updates have come in on the rookie wideout, with both Carolina and Tennessee fans waiting anxiously for some positive news to hopefully come in. Brazzell is in his first training camp with Carolina after being taken in the third round by the Panthers of the 2026 NFL Draft. He was considered a bit of a sleeper/steal.

Brazzell was so much fun to watch for the Vols last season, with few people forgetting his breakout game against the Georgia Bulldogs. While Kirby Smart and Co. left Knoxville with the win, Brazzell put on a show with his six receptions for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Him and Joey Aguilar were rockstars together at Neyland Stadium. If you need a reminder of what Brazzell did in that game, here you go:

After spending the first two seasons of his career at Tulane, Brazzell transferred to Tennessee and he was a joy to watch. In 2024, he posted 29 receptions for 333 yards and two touchdowns, and then he followed things up with 62 catches for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025. His huge season opened the door for NFL teams to take notice, with Carolina ultimately bringing him to town.

Moving forward, though, there's a ton of worry that this knee issue could keep Brazzell, who missed the previous two practices, out of action for an extended period of time. We don't want to speculate on the severity of this knee injury for the youngster, but you've got to feel pretty bad for him right now.
