Last week, Tennessee signed the most talented recruiting class we have seen in quite some time. Despite being a week past signing day, Tennessee is still involved in some drama regarding a signee.

There is a new development in the drama-filled recruitment of 4-star Tennessee football signee Legend Bey.

The first odd thing to happen was when Bey showed up to his signing day ceremony in Ohio State gear, but flipped to Tennessee. After he signed with the Vols, Bey made a post on social media that said his mom and brother forced him to sign with Tennessee and that he didn't want to. It was then reported by Rivals that Bey's mother met with the Tennessee staff before signing the day, and could have allegedly forged his signature.

The latest development on this front is that Bey is still wearing Ohio State stuff, despite being signed to Tennessee. Photos are going around X of Bey in a Buckeyes shirt and gloves during a workout.

Legend Bey situation takes another turn

When it comes to recruiting, especially four and five-star players, there is always drama, but this is a very unique situation. I really don't know where Josh Heupel goes from here. There is a reason Ohio State and Tennessee made Bey a priority this recruiting cycle. He is a highly talented wide receiver, but is he worth the headache?

Tennessee and Josh Heupel should do whatever they can to bring in top talent to this roster, but it's also a two-way street. If players don't want to be in Knoxville, is it really worth having them on the roster?

Even more importantly, for Bey's sake, he shouldn't be forced to play and live somewhere he doesn't want to be. All in all, this is just a crazy situation that keeps getting crazier. Hopefully, this can be put to rest soon, and the Vols can focus on Bowl game preparation and building the 2026 roster.

At the end of the day, there will probably be more developments on this front, but for now, it seems like it's more and more likely that Bey doesn't end up playing for the Tennessee football team.
