With it being mid July, plenty of you out there probably forgot that quarterback Gaston Moore, who spent the past four seasons with Tennessee football, was still looking for a new place to call home. This offseason, Moore entered the portal, looking to close out his career as a starter.

It looks like he's now going to have his chance to push for a QB1 job in the American Conference. On Tuesday morning, the breaking news has arrived that No. 13 has put the pen to paper with South Florida. USF becomes the third program that Moore will be suiting up for:

Given the nickname 'GasPipe' by Josh Heupel, Moore became a bit of a fan favorite while he was in town. He never saw extensive action while with the program, but he was always ready to rock whenever his number was called by Heupel and Co.

This included last season when Nico Iamaleava went down with a head injury against Mississippi State. All in all, Moore appeared in six games for Heupel and the Vols in 2024, throwing for 201 yards and two touchdowns, which were all career-highs for him.

He'll also be playing for a familiar face now that he's going to be moving south to the sunshine in Florida. Remember Alex Golesh? Of course you do - he was Tennessee's offensive coordinator and tight ends coach for two seasons before being hired as USF's head coach in 2023.

Now, Golesh and Moore will be reunited, with GasPipe ready to end his college career with a starting role. It took longer than expected for him to sign with a new program, but it looks like he's landed in a pretty good spot now that he has said goodbye to Knoxville and the SEC. Vols fans have wasted no time in wishing him all the best in this new journey as well, which is great to see. It looked like maybe his football days were over, but he'll have one last dance in '25.
