He may just be a true freshman, but Tennessee football youngster Radarious Jackson has been given plenty of opportunities to make an impact for the Vols early on this season. Unfortunately for him, however, we're not going to be able to see him in action this weekend against the UAB Blazers.

In Week 3, Jackson hauled in one ball for a five-yard reception, but he ultimately paid the price at the end of the play. As you'll be able to see in the clip below, Jackson reeled in a ball from Joey Aguilar, but as he looked to make his way up the field, he was drilled by a Georgia defensive back:

Tennessee WR Radarious Jackson will be out for Week 4 against UAB

You've got to feel bad for Jackson, as he was surely hoping to post a breakout game at home against UAB before the Vols get ready for their full SEC schedule. This was in no way shape or form a dirty hit by the Georgia DB - just a good football play if you ask us.

However, the impact on said hit has caused a bit of a setback for Jackson, who is a Memphis product. Jackson has four receptions for 40 yards to his name thus far this campaign, highlighted by his game against East Tennessee State when he posted three receptions for 35 yards.

He indeed only finished with one catch against Georgia, with the Vols suffering a heartbreaking loss to one of the top teams in the country. Joey Aguilar and Co. will look to get back on the right track this weekend, with the Vols being massive favorites against UAB.

This injury for Jackson doesn't appear to be too serious. This could end up resulting in him just missing one game and then returning to the gridiron for the Sept. 27 showdown at Mississippi State. Early on, Jackson has looked solid for someone who just signed with the team as a member of the 2025 class. Come this weekend, however, he'll have to enjoy the show from the sidelines.
