Over the weekend, seven Tennessee Vols stepped onto one of football’s biggest stages at the NFL Combine, each one chasing a dream and an opportunity to play in the NFL. They put their work on display in front of scouts, head coaches, and general managers from across the league, all hoping to prove they belong at the next level.
The Combine was also a significant week for many players, but Colton Hood and Chris Brazzell II could raise their draft stock and cement themselves as first-rounders with a good showing. Bryson Eason and Miles Kitselman could rise to a Day Two pick. Joshua Josephs and Joey Aguilar didn't participate in drills, and Jermod McCoy only particapited tin the bench press.
Let's take a look at how the Tennessee Vols did in this years Combine.

The biggest takeaway is that Chris Brazzell II may have cemented himself as a first-round pick. There is still plenty of time until the NFL Draft, from now until April, but man, a sub-4.4 40-yard dash at 6-foot-5 is going to turn heads inside of NFL front offices. Colton Hood ran a solid time at 4.44 seconds and could sneak his way into the first round. He killed it when he went through the gauntlet drill, as well, showing off his hands and concentration under pressure.
That Colton Hood gauntlet was sheesh.

Now, the Vols will have their Pro Day in Knoxville and will look to have another solid showing on the field. Tennessee’s prospects will look to build on their Combine performances and leave scouts with one final strong impression before draft night arrives.
