The Tennessee football team has a strong footprint at the NFL Combine this year, with seven participants now, including Joey Aguilar. The Vols in the NFL have done a great job representing the program, as Tennessee had two Pro Bowlers and a Super Bowl winner in Velus Jones Jr. Now that combine week is officially here, it’s the perfect time to zero in on the Vols and see how they perform on the big stage.

Every Vol in Indianapolis has the potential to climb the NFL Draft board this April. This week’s combine could be a game-changer, and there are three players in particular who could turn heads and move up with a standout performance.

WR Chris Brazzell II

Brazzell is right on the verge of being a first-round pick this fall. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound wideout is one of the best contested catch guys this draft. His huge frame allows him to make acrobatic catches and grab anything within his large catch radius. He's a vertical threat that can make plays downfield and stretch the defense to make room for other wide receivers underneath.

Brazzell should thrive in the broad jump and vertical jump with his explosiveness. He will be a quarterback's best friend at the next level, and with a strong showing this week at the combine, he could sneak into the top-32.

CB Colton Hood

Similar to Brazzell, Hood is right on the verge of being a first-round pick, and with his ability to play on an island, he might find his way in the first round. The biggest thing for Hood this week is making sure he runs a respectable 40-yard dash time. If he can, there will be no doubt he ends up as a first-rounder. The tape doesn't lie, but many of these scouts overthink everything when it comes to the combine.

DE Joshua Josephs

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end is looking like a day two pick as of right now. For what Josephs lacks in natural size, he has elite length and a very explosive first step that can beat any tackle. In 2025, he had four sacks and a crazy amount of pass rush moves in his arsenal. The drills that Josephs should do well in are the broad jump and shuttle with his short-area explosiveness.

Since he likely won't be an every-down guy at the next level, Josephs won't crack the first round, but his ability to live in the backfield and play with a high motor will have teams looking at him heavily, especially if he tears it up this week at the combine.
