The last major official visit weekend of June is here and there are going to be plenty of eyes on the elite prospects the Tennessee football team brings to town. The list of course includes 5-star running back Savion Hiter, one of the top players overall for the 2026 class.
For months now Tennessee fans have been dreaming of Josh Heupel and his staff coming out on top of a massive recruiting battle to land the No. 1 RB. Thus far, Hiter has taken official visits to Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan, his other three finalists. Come this weekend, his last OV is on the way and everyone in Knoxville will be ready to turn his head:

Tennessee football is hoping to land 5-star RB Savion Hiter
Hiter is looking forward to this weekend and he knows it's going to play a massive role for his final decision. Things are a bit up in the air as to who the favorite might be, but it's important to remember that analysts have previously predicted Hiter to give Heupel his verbal.
Michigan, Georgia AND Ohio State are working to prevent that from happening. There are plenty of things Heupel and the Vols can sell to Hiter. At the top of the list has to be that 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon, the No. 1 QB in the country, is Tennessee-bound in 2026.
On top of that, 5-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda is also a verbal pledge, while the nation's No. 1 WR in Tristen Keys has high interest in Tennessee too. Keys, for now, is committed to LSU, but the Vols surely are giving him a lot to think about moving forward.
Tennessee is putting together an unreal '26 group and adding Hiter to the mix would help send things over the top. It's not going to be easy to get his commitment, but an unforgettable weekend on campus could seal the deal for the Vols. Heupel has to roll out the red carpet for this kid and remind him he's a top priority for the SEC powerhouse.
