By far, the biggest recruiting win for the Vols was adding Juke Harris, their former Wake Forest star, but Vols fans still believe, for some reason, he won't come to Knoxville. A recent development should put that to rest.
Tennessee went all-in this offseason, but the price tag is the real story
Tennessee fans can finally exhale when it comes to star signee Juke Harris. Even though he has already signed with the Vols, many still think he may bolt to the NBA Draft, but that no longer seems likely, as he's officially withdrawn from the NBA Draft and won't go to the Combine. So for those who still have their doubts, this should clear up any confusion. Juke Harris will be a Tennessee Vol next year.
DRAFT COMBINE UPDATE:
— NBA Communications (@NBAPR) May 5, 2026
Juke Harris (Wake Forest) has withdrawn from the 2026 NBA Draft and will not attend the AWS NBA Draft Combine 2026.
Rick Barnes was pretty fired up about the addition of Juke Harris, like many by Vols fans. He said, "One of the premier scorers nationally, he possesses the ability to put the ball in the basket in numerous ways, from all over the floor. Juke can take over a game and impose his will at any time. He is a versatile player who can handle the ball in transition and has the length to make an impact defensively. As someone we were familiar with from his high school recruitment, Juke was a primary target for us as soon as the portal opened and he fits well with the roster we have assembled."
Juke Harris has withdrawn from the NBA Draft
This is huge news, because even though it was reported that Harris wasn't going to go, it's now official. Harris brings a playstyle that will make the Vols one of the best teams in the nation. He can score at an elite level while also taking care of the basketball. I love his game, and he will complement the other guards Barnes brought in very well. Although the Steve Forbes system at Wake Forest looks a lot different than Rick Barnes', they have a lot of similarities, so Harris has some of the basic knowledge of motion principles.
The Tennessee roster is now almost done, and they look poised to make a Final Four run.
