Another Tennessee football star is entering the NFL Draft. Jermod McCoy announced yesterday in an emotional letter that he was off to the league. McCoy is expected to be a first-round pick in April's draft as he is one of the top cornerbacks on the board.

This time, the news is coming from the offensive side of the ball as the next Vol that is going to the draft is star wide receiver Chris Brazzell II, according to Vol Scoops on X. Vol Scoops also mentioned that Brazzell will opt out of the Music City Bowl against Illinois.

This one definitely hurts. Brazzell was one of the best wide receivers in the entire nation. His 1,017 receiving yards led the SEC and were 13th in the country. Brazzell's 62 catches were sixth in the SEC. He continuously made plays downfield for Josh Heupel and Tennessee.

Joey Aguliar had a great season in 2025, and a big reason was because of Chris Brazzell II. Having a reliable wideout who a quaterback can count on makes all the difference. Whichever quarterback he has next will be happy to have a guy like Brazell to throw to.

When he came over from Tulane, many Vols fans were excited, but I don't think anyone expected him to be this good. In his sophomore year at Tulane, he had 44 catches for 711 yards and five touchdowns. Brazell moved up a level and really broke out once he fully developed.

You rarely find a player with the blend of size and speed that Brazell has. The Biletnikoff Award semifinalist will surely be a high draft pick and make an NFL team very happy. Depending on where you look, Brazell is projected to be a second-round pick, most likely. If Brazell has a good NFL Combine, he could surge up draft boards and become a top 32 pick.

While it hurts losing Brazell, the wide receiver room at Tennessee is one of the best in the nation. They bring back Jaylon Stayley, the SEC Freshman of the Year winner. Plus, 5-star Tristen Keys will be on campus next fall. Signee Legend Bey has had a drama-filled recruitment, but he has all the potential in the world. The room is so deep that they won't skip a beat next fall.

In the end, its hurts losing Chris Bazell II but he won't be the last Vol to enter the draft. Stay tuned to All for Tennessee to see what other Vols decide to throw their name in the mix.
