Justin Worley Invited To Cleveland Browns Mini Camp
By Zach Ragan
Former Tennessee Volunteers starting quarterback Justin Worley went undrafted during the 2015 NFL Draft this past weekend.
But despite not being drafted, it looks like Worley will at least get a shot to make a NFL roster.
Worley has received an invite to the Cleveland Browns’ mini camp.
The South Carolina native, who was high school teammates with fellow former Vol (and current Minnesota Viking) wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, started 17 games during his career at Tennessee. Worley threw for 3,556 yards, 23 touchdowns and 21 interceptions during his four seasons on Rocky Top.
It’s obviously a long shot that Worley will make a NFL roster, but it’s not a completely ludicrous thought.
Worley was thought to have very little upside at Tennessee, but he did show improvement during his time as a Vol.

The biggest reason that Worley didn’t find more success in Knoxville is that he wasn’t in a very ideal situation in either 2013 or 2014.
In 2013, the Vols had very few skill position players to help out Worley. The next season, when the skill position talent was better, the Vols’ offensive line was a disaster.
Worley, as a pro-style quarterback, never stood a chance behind a inexperienced offensive line that couldn’t give him time to get the ball down the field.
To be honest, we’re not really sure what Worley is capable of doing on the football field. We know he can hold his own in bad situations, but he could actually be better than we give him credit for.
Again, I think it’s a longshot that Worley makes the Browns (or any other team), but it’s certainly not an absurd notion that he could indeed end up in the NFL.
